Back in the early ninties, I had a welded diff in my RX3 ITA car. The weld had been done by a professional. ....... At an autocross, the weld came loose and grenaded out the back of the diff. Luckily

Gary...while the pieces may stay locked in place, micro-movement may eventually chip up the weld or other internal pieces wich now becomes grinding medium for your bearings and gears..i wouldnt want
