It's hard to say how many of us have original dipsticks and more to the point accurate dipstick markings. You can always do the following to make any dipstick work for you. Put 5 quarts in the engine

Why not add 4 quarts, wait a while and mark that line. Then add the 5th and mark that line? Dave Johnson

The original dip stick & tube measurements are: Stick - 24 7/16" from the tip to the inside top of the "bell" cover/dust guard. Oil "add" mark 1 1/8" from tip, oil "full" mark 2" from tip. -- Tube -

I'm second guessing my dip stick now, also. I appreciate the measurements but I'm still not clear where my "Full" should be on my dip stick. Maybe this question would clear it up for some of us. What
