- Does anyone know the trick for disassembling real-world rusty u-joints (as opposed to the theoretical ones assumed by the manual)? Thanks, Simon

- a few choices! beat on them with a hammer using something that sits inside the hole of the shaft for the joint's cap as not to deform that hole at all! or theever popular "heat" A-LA-torch . heating

- remove the circlips. clean any residual grot from the recesses in the yolk where the bearing caps fit. Mark the yolk and spider so that you can reassemble in the same relative positions so you don't

- Lots of heat and penetrating oil, and old "suitable drift" like a deep well socket, and a really big hammer along with a non asian vice or a block of wood and a concrete floor. -- Frank Clarici Toms
