- Tonight was the first time my wife drove her red 77 Midget in about a year, and it wasn't very pleasant! We bled (mostly anyway) the brakes so they're working and proceeded to drive down our street.

- In the past I have seen the following causes for your problem: 1. Someone overtightened the clamp and crushed the body of the distributor which can no longer offer resistance to the clamp sufficient

- My distributor clamp was so out of round it wouldn't hold the dist. I took it out, muscled back into shape (approx.) and half round filed it to round again. Works fine now. Geoff Branch '74 Meejit "Y
