Hi all, A friend of mine recently bought a 45D, remade into a 25D for his 64B. This is in the UK. Can someone tell me if the shaft they use is from a 45 or a 25 as it affects the dwell. The dwell is

If you set the gap to .015, then measure the dwell, that will tell you. The points gap is the same for both types. Personally because adjusting in situ is such a pig (particularly on the RHD) I take

Make certain to have him check the vacuum advance. I recently discovered that my 'rebuilt' 25D4 had the wrong type of vacuum advance (manifold instead of ported). -- Bud Krueger http://home.ici.net/
