- Hi all, A friend of mine recently bought a 45D, remade into a 25D for his 64B. This is in the UK. Can someone tell me if the shaft they use is from a 45 or a 25 as it affects the dwell. The dwell is

- If you set the gap to .015, then measure the dwell, that will tell you. The points gap is the same for both types. Personally because adjusting in situ is such a pig (particularly on the RHD) I take

- Make certain to have him check the vacuum advance. I recently discovered that my 'rebuilt' 25D4 had the wrong type of vacuum advance (manifold instead of ported). -- Bud Krueger http://home.ici.net/
