John didn't mention it, but his Healey is so reliable that he ran all five of the Australian-US Healey Challenges races without a nip of a problem! And he won the long distance award coming to the US

Let me chime in here. I seized up a 1978 Fiat Spider back in 1982. I had just changed the oil and forgot to tighten the oil filter all the way. When the filter fell off it took all of a few seconds

There certainly must have been something major wrong with that TD. I have a '52 TD that I've had for 36 years and last rebuilt the engine in 1970. Back then the rear seal upgrades were not available
