I am also looking for said mirrors if anyone has some used ones they want to part with (for my 67BGT). There should be a flat one on the driver's side door in the regular spot. I think the passenger

I think the bullet mirror is what one might term a "popular period accessory", not original equipment. Mine is almost completely useless, as from my seating position it is directly behind the vent wi

It's 23.5" back from the headlight gasket, which puts it about 27" in front of the A-pillar. And it should be right at the top of the fender, in terms of the curvature... Hope that helps! == Paul Mis

Maybe I'm not correct. The passenger side mirror was mounted forward on the fender but that may only be true for a certain period, early 70s perhaps, with the rectangular mirrors. The Mark 1 cars use

To clarify, all passenger side mirrors were "optional" in the 60s, so you are free to use whatever arrangement you like. But it seems to be true that the "period" installations used the forward wing

Thanks Paul for the info on where the hole goes. It looks like such a mount point was standard from 1969-1971 North American cars. Now that I am home, a look in Clausagers book shows mirrors to be a

I was under the impression that all mirrors on Mk 1 cars were dealer-installed. I guess the sure "tell" would be to study those Sixties photos of rows of new cars outside the factory. A few years ago
