Right, John. Black seats in red cars were not available from 1957 to 1962. The four cylinder BN2's did have black seats available on Reno Red single-tone (only) cars according to both Clausager and P

Right, I remember it. I was typing faster than thinking, and had only Bill Piggots book in front of me, which clearly states only red interiors for a Carmine car. Clausager's book has black as well

My BN2 Heritage certificate states my car (no.BN2-L/232350) was built on 11 May 1956 and was painted Carmine Red long after this was a standard color (special order?). The "trim", which I am guessing

Not true. I not only have the car but the BMIHT, as well, to prove otherwise. My carmine red car, manufactured 5 Nov. 1953, had a black interior and the black seats had red piping. The dilapidated or
