- The answer is, "Probably not!" Reason being that the MkIV has a 3 rail gearbox and the '79 1500 uses a single rail gearbox. With their OD units attached, the two are slightly different in length. One

- I think it will. I believe Rimmer's shows these two replacement driveshafts as having the same part number. You're not going to have the correct type of joints for the 72, but what the heck.

- There are indeed two shafts that are common between the two models (according to Rimmer), however they are for the OD equipped 3-rail and the NON OD single rail. The question was if the two OD shaft
