Has anyone ever played with hooking up a pump and running a dry sump in their A or B? I would think the engine life would be increased dramatically and the cornering problem would of course be elimi

In some dry sump systems isn't the presurizing pump electrical? That way full oil pressure can be had before starting the engine. That of course saves the engine wear which occurs mostly at start up

Kai - the article doesn't mention it because it ain't necessarily so! Traditional dry sump systems utilize either belt or gear driven pumps that like any other require a certain (usually quite short)

I use an Accusump on the MGA. If you are racing, you NEED one - the small tubing of the oil pressure line will NOT show you that you may be starving the engine in corners. If you do not compete with

BTW, Kai notwithstanding, dry sump systems typically consist of 3 or 4 stage mechanically driven pumps. I am not aware of any electrically driven ones (and didn't see any on APT's site) suitable for
