I wish there was a good reference manual. The lack of said manual is perhaps one of the biggest drawbacks to the Zenith Stromberg carbs. The Haynes manual is no longer in print - it has been consolid

David: Does the conversion to SUs require changing both manifolds and the exhaust system? In Rhode Island we are required to maintan a catalytic converter if the car was originally equipped with one.

hello, i have seen a zenith-stromburg--cat-on-exhaust manifold setup used for the twin su conversion..the owner(me), lived in colorado(a smog testing state) so i needed the cat in place for the test.

Hi Frank, I reckon you could get a universal Cat and fit it whee the resonator goes. Then you could have a header or earlier exhaust manifoldand the SUs w/insulator. Cheers, CR
