I can't recall ever seeing anyone do this, so I pose the question ... is there any reason not to paint a pair of refurbished brake calipers before putting them back on the car? I hate rust. Hate it.

If you are going to paint them, be sure you do so prior to introducing DOT 5 fluid. One drop of that spreads over the entire caliper and is virtually impossible to get completely removed. The result
