- Toby In the first place there should be no bolts in those holes. It should have clevis pins and a cotter pin on the bottom. The bolts are what probably wore out the holes. They have to move freely. I

- Hi there! The emergency brake rod connections are all supposed to be loose when the brake is off and all tighten up when applied. Hence the pins. The only thing I would not do is drill out the holes
