Hi List, On the rear brakes the slave cylinder is held in position by a stupid clip called an E clip. When I ran standard rear brakes I replaced the E clip with a circlip which I found was much easie

The E clip (I agree, a very stupid design) is not flat, so when properly installed pulls the slave cylinder tight against the backing plate. The circlip, which is far easier to install, is thinner,

I'll just pass on a handy hint that someone gave me. When changing wheel cylinders, pull the hub, shoes and backing plate off the banjo. Replace the wheel cylinder on the bare backing plate. It is no
