- Is there a simple or not so simple modification to do to the standard water pump to keep it from cavitating? Can a couple of the veins be machined differently or removed? Could the volute be modified

- I thought I had outlined all this pretty well in my book Charly. Certainly putting a smaller pulley on the crank does the number. Steve Smith is working on a water pump vane that might be fready soon

- Good pumps usually have a hook at the end of the impeller away from the direction of rotation. It looks wrong because you'd think "scooping" the water would help.

- Bill, I actually got two versions from them, one hooked to fling water out like a regular centrifugal impeller and one hooked inward to 'scoop'. Perhaps that was the Australian version? Mark
