Does anyone have the procedures for tweaking an electric tach? When I connect my trusty Craftsman dwell tach to the car, it's reading about 1000 rpm less than the in-dash tacho (3000 on dash reads 20

You'll have to remove the tach from the dash and open it up. Then wire it back up with the back off. There's an adjustment screw inside on the back that will be obvious once you have the back off. U

Yes, and this would be a good time to drill a 3/8" hole in the tach housing so you can make adjustments in the future without having to disassemble the tach. Just make a hole in line with the adjuste

There's a big Healey restoration place in Northern California that sells them for a ridiculous amount of money. I think they wanted something like $75 for the plastic bit and $55 for the metal part.
