Rather than visually inspecting every inch of the circuits you are talking about, a simple 12 V test light or voltmeter can speed up the process. For instance you might clip one lead of the test lig

Did you check the fuse visually, or electrically? If done just visually, check it with a VOM meter, or just replace it. I've seen many fuses which don't look blown that are open and it can't be seen
