- Mike, The setup I have in my MGB has a yellow wire and no purple. This wire goes to the (-) side of the coil. The black wire goes to Ground. Hope this helps! Bob 71 mgb

- Thank's in advance? No pun intended I suppose... I installed an XR-700 kit in my MGB a couple of years ago with good results. They claim that it takes an hour max, but I'd count on a couple of hours
