- Joe, thanks for your reply. The eng # is in the normal place, lower left side, just above the clutch cylinder. They are raised, not stamped. Tranny bellhousing # is on the part that sticks out for cl

- OK. Mystery solved. I took a much harder look at the engine (difficult 'cuz it's leaned up against a wall, wrong way, of course), removed the accumulated grime, and lo-and-behold, there was a stamped
