- Sounds like something is loose or worn in the distributor. Check your points and the mounting plate for looseness, make sure the shaft does not wobble. Something is wrong somewhere.... Also check yo

- I took my distributor apart tonight and the bushing seem fine. I think the problem is the springs. They seem to be too loose. I can adjust the timing slightly without the springs stretching at all. A
