How many places has he tried for quotes!? The most I've seen in the Washington, DC area is $2200 for a real quality rebuild...and the DC area isn't cheap! I'm not sure what the cost would be to ship

Who ever quoted him $1400 on a used engine is gouging him bad. Most ARA (American Recycling Assoc.) member yards sell this engine for around $350-500. Some specialty shops I know charge $600, but the
