I got four grey gaskets that mate up perfectly to the back of the two SU carbs. The bearing material is copper and I only had to take down a few thousandths. There is quite a bit of bearing material

If you haven't put the pistons in, the crank should turn easily. With the pistons, it should be harder to turn, but it should be do-able by hand- perhaps pushing and pulling on the counterweights. I
