Hi all, I have pulled and disassembled my engine in the '71B. This process being a first for me, I have several questions. How do I tell if my engine has been bored before? From my measurements, the

If the engine has been bored, the machinist should have stamped some number in several places on the top end of the block. This would be the surface which mates to the cylinder head. The number will

As far as NAPA goes they can get can get precision cam bearings that don't require them to be aligned bored. The bearings are about the same price but will save considerably in machine shop costs.Ask
