Dear listers out they're, I and a friend took out my motor from my Tiger, it used to have a 280, but when I bought it the owners had said it is a 289 now. These are the numbers C8AE-8015-C is these 2

I believe you read the number wrong. The 289 block from '66 to '68 is C6AE-6015-C. The 302 block is C8OE-6015-A or C8AE-6015-B. The cast #6 on the block looks like it is almost closed and may seem t

Hello Steve, I bet if you clean up the number that it would actually read this: C6AE-6015-C (The sixes look like eights when they are dirty.) If that's the number like I think it is, it's a 289. - Jo
