Leaving the obvious originality issues aside, what are the disadvantages and advantages of putting a 69 MGB GT 1800 in a 57 MGA? I have a GT that needs a lot of work and a 1500 that has a loud metall

Sounds a little hairy... I thought it was pretty much take one engine out, put the other in, same tranny, rear end etc. Can I swap tranny and all? I really had not given much thought about doing this

Thanks to the replies regarding the 1500 to 1800 engine swap. Some of the modifications needed sound a little beyond what I was expecting, even though they might not be as complicated as they sound.
