While I have removed the transmission out, by supporting the engine and removing bell housing, drive shaft connections, I have yet to be faced with Tiger removal. That being said, I have had lots of

If you are doing it by yourself, I found it easier to remove it from the bottom. Theo's comment about height is also relevant, re removal from the top, so your garage must have the height or outside.
