They should be pretty close if the thermostat is fully open. The temperature at the gage might be a bit higher. Dave Russell

On BN3s where the sender unit is in the radiator it's the same too. However with the sender unit in the top of the radiator it doesn't read the correct engine coolant temperature until the thermosta
