That single brown wire also goes to the alternator (on my '73)... Jay

My alternator had a single brown wire (small wore size) that went on a Lucar fitting just below the multi-plug. The unit got noisy, so I replaced it with another Lucas one that didn't have that Luca

Thanks Jay, I looked at 3 18ACR alternators and none had the place for the wire. Looking at my old Harness, I think the wire was just wrapped around and not used. John 76 TR6
