You can not make a person now running who is trying to break a record which used 5 miles to do it a shorter course..If that's what you are suggesting.. Many records set over 175 could not be reached

If they are running on a 180 or 185 record I see no problem. However if it's on a 230 record I feel they should not go there until thy reach a 1/4 mile speed and 1 mile which allow then to make it to

Glen, I see your point, but a car going 180mph takes 60 seconds to go 3 miles. A car going 240mph takes 45 seconds. Difference of only 15 seconds. The car going 180mph should be able to slow down and

Doug your not counting the time it takes for that car to get to 180. But your right it's really at the starting line or if the vehicle will "clean out"
