I saw a special on TNN (car and driver) and they said that at Monte Carlo back in I think 64 or 65 the MGB won with a top speed of 103 ( 4 cyl w/ overdrive) Andy 66B

There are plenty of MGB V8s that have enough power to exceed 120mph, maybe even the 131mph range, if you keep them on the ground. Now, if you add "streamlining" or ground effects that's another story
