Does anybody have a book that decodes the numbers on the tag from a Ford rear end? I took this rear end out of a 1969 Mustang. The tag reads: WCZ-V1 94C 2.79 8 930A I would guess that the 2.79 must b

Hi DickJ You can tell the 8" from the 9" by looking at the carrier mounting bolts below the pinion bearing assembly. If you can get to the lower mounting bolt for the carrier with a long socket, it's
