Just a thanks to everyone who offered help. I managed to find 4 of the correct rims in a junkyard. Wheels and brakes are doing fine now. However the throttle stuck open 1/2 way while driving in town,

I hope this isn't too far from the list charter...there seems to be a widely varied collective of experience here though. I bought a '90 E250 van for racing (motorcycles, not racing the van!). The fr

I wouldn't even consider grinding off the metal on the rims... It sounds obvious that they are the wrong parts.. It wouldn't be the first time that a manufacturer put the wrong parts in box or mislab

You somehow got disks are are intended for wheels that align on their center hole. When I had my '72 Ford van I had a hard time getting correct parts for it-- Ford seems to change things a lot in the

In the heavy-truck industry, this is the difference between "hub-piloted" and "stud-piloted" wheels. I wouldn't have a clue about wheel-mounting on a later Ford van, but, if your wheels have a depres

Jim : IMO any decent machine shop should be able to machine down (or off) the shoulder on the rotors. They're actually pretty soft, no need to use a grinder, so all that's needed is a lathe big enou

I agree with all that Michael Porter said, but with one addition. You now have "hub-centric" rotors, previously you have "lug-centric" rotors. If you can not find a different part at another auto par

If it's true that the previous owner changed neither rotor nor rim, then they are definitely lug-piloted from Ford. Excellent. Thanks. Anyone know of a competent machinist in eastern Massachusetts? j

I've had this trouble before with another vehicle and Federal-Mogul parts. A helpful counter person will get you the right parts. Sometimes it helps to bring in the old part when you return the part

I looked for a number on the old part, but the back (where the new rotor has it's info) was peeling off and the front had BPC680 1 45 stamped in it. Nothing looked familiar to anyone. The parts guy s

The E-250 used hub centric wheels. The E-250 is considered moderately heavy duty, which is why it uses this wheel mounting system. You *can* get away with grinding the lip of the rotor off, or grindi
