No, probably not the kingpins. I just replaced those, along with the entire front end. The clunking didn't start until after the rebuild, actually. I'm very confident about that rebuild. The clunking

Check the rubber pads that go between the crossmember and the frame rails. These had deteriorated over time and when one fell out it caused not only a clunck but but a steerign effect. I kept thinkin

I found a bad race that had ruined the hub. Replaced the hub, race, bearings etc. then found a slightly warped disc. Machined that. Put it all back together and the clunk, thunk or ghost noise was go
