Just making a few changes on fuel system in the "3" and was wondering why the line from the gas tank to the fuel pump is 5/16" and then 1/4" into the carbs, any particular reason or benefits for this

Fred, it's quite possible that the additional area is necessary to reduce the pressure drop before the pump, because the pump has a fairly low lifting capacity (not a whole lot of suction), and with

I don't know about the fuel pump line ( I can measure tonight for you if you need), but on my 62 TR3B, the line used to connect the carbs are 1/4 inch inner diameter. Erkan

James, Just been there... 1/4 inch OD. Just to confuse things the input is 5/16. The brass fitting on the 1/4 pipe is very special and hard to find because it is a 5/16 fitting with a smaller 1/4 pi

Looking for the long (5.5 ft) metal fuel line for a 72 TR6 - does anybody sell this or I am better off trying to bend a tube into the right shape - to match all the bends and turns might be difficult

You can replace it with ss braided hose, cost is about $5/ft in 3/8 inch size, depending on where you get it from. And then you can buy the AN fittings. It makes a nice clean, expensive install. But
