If you look at the pump it says "Top" by the outlet side. I asked the same question when I took the Midget pump out of mine and installed the B pump. No one answered me definitvely so I looked under

My 73 has both ports facing forward. On my spare pump I note that 'TOP' is embossed into the casting by the ports in such a postion that one might easily assume that the ports should face upwards. Ho

It appears that the word 'top' is used to in conjuction with a few other words to indicate which of the ports is the outlet. Your reference to both ports facing forward is a tough one for me to hand

Just FYI, the pump is located in a different spot in the CBBs than it is in the RBBs. On the CBBs it's just forward of the right side battery box and its long axis is parallel to the rear axle with

In some cases the banjo fittings will not clear the alloy casting of the MGB SU pump with one inner washer. The fitting looks tight, but is slightly cocked. Fitting two inner washers cures the probl
