Assuming you have a 948 with smoothcase and 6-gallon tank? 150 miles should be relatively safe for highway at speeds of 60mph or so. Lester, you have just elected yourself as official Spridget List

Hi Lester, I would think that 150 miles is a pretty good figure. My engine with a pretty rad cam gets about this too. I would use this for now. Sometimes the pick-up tube inside the tank can be moved

My gas gauge does not work either. I use a 1/4" three foot wood dowelto "dip" the tank. I filled it up one time, dipped the dowel, and from the top of the wet part of the dowel I marked off 6 hash ma

I think the 150-mile per tank number sounds about right. I know I was getting close to 30 mpg in my 1275 equipped Bugeye. -- Kurtis Jones Russellville, Arkansas 1963 TR4 - CT19389L 1959 AH Bugeye - A

Thanks all, I like the wooden dowel approach.. no, not THAT wooden dowel, but I'm not sure if it's that critical. 150 miles seems like a nice number and if the odo is working correctly.... Lester ..
