This is interesting, I had no idea those mechanical injection systems were continuous flow. Strikes me as a nasty way to deal with part throttle fuel metering. How about closed throttle on overrun? D

Neil, the only thing I would add to that is that on my early Hilborn, the only thing the barrel(metering) valve does is cut the closed-throttle fuel flow down to about (an adjustable) 10% for idling.
