Hi Listers: Well, as I continue my restoration of my 74B I once again need your help. I have fuel pumping quite well to the carbs, but the engine will only "fire" if I pour a little gas into the carb

If you blow gently in the float chamber overflow you should see fuel bubbling up the jet - air cleaners off. If not it could be a stuck float valve, if you rap the float chamber sharply (harder than

What carbs do you have? HS or HIF? If they are HS, check to make sure that the line from the bowl to the jet is connected properly and is not crimped. Maynard
