- I have a small GM automatic transmission on the back of a 2.8 V-6 that I got in a trade. I don't know that the transmission is. I think it's either a TH200 or TH2004R. Does anybody know how to tell a

- The 2004R trans' all came in full size rear wheel drive cars. The Chevy S-10 PU and Blazer, and GMC equivalents, all came with 700R4 trans' but they may have a funky bell housing that bolts to the 4'

- Tony G's right! The TH200 is a turd. It had a very short life span in GM production. Although, you can modify them to handle reasonable torque ratings and some are even used successfully in Drag Raci
