I did it on my GT and I personally think that it looks much better. Since there is a ridge there, there is still a nice beltline, but it aids in making the car look sleeker and more aggressive. James

There is a sort of precedent. The UK 50th Anniversary GT had the strips but they were body colour, but that also had a much wider gold self-adhesive strip covering most of the panels up to the bottom
