Not to belabor the point, but what kills trannys is not horsepower per se, but torque. Even a 160hp 2.0 probably still doesn't develop as much torque as a stock 2.5; it just does it at a higher rpm.

Hi Scott I can give you some reasoned debate on this point as I have 2000 sedan and 2.5 sedan. First the 2.5 engine is considerably heavier than the 2000, I believe the figure is 80 lbs, but not sure
