Hi Phil GT6 Box is basically the same as the Dolly 1850, and these really aren't up to the standard 1850 torque let alone a modified six. I think you need the TR7 5 speed, or if your up for some fun

An article in the Triumphtune manual says it's possible to "regularly put 160 HP" into the GT6 tranny w/out killing it, but the box gives out eventually no matter what you do. Shift smoothly! -- Mart

Just a small inquirey, Is it easier to pull the transmission out with the engine or to take it out through the interior. I don't need the engine out, just the clutch and trans. Thanks all, Mike Thomp

I pulled the transmission in my GT6 in under two hours through the interior, and that was with the pizza interruption. It's an easy job, compared to some. Scott Barr SCB963@aol.com

IMHO, do it through the interior. I've had mine in and out several times, and swear by this method. The toughest part is reaching the nuts/bolts on the bellhousing, both sides of the firewall at the

Sounds like the way with all TRs, 3 and 4 come out that way also with the same problem with bellhousing bolts. Jim
