So if the GTLMA is no longer available why not switch to the silicon DOT5 brake fluid? Would there be incompatability issues with the existing brake seals? I understand from product descriptions that

If the switch to silicone is made in a system that has had DOT 3 or DOT 4, it must be flushed completely and all the seals replaced. It seems that, while silicone and DOT 3 & 4 are not incompatible,

That is one of the drawbacks to silicone fluid, if water does find it's way into the system through accident or condensation, it will statify and remain there. To date, the only repair I have had to
