On my Series IV, there is a switch on the dash to change the dash gauge illumination from dim to bright. The switch is marked 'panel' and it is nearest the glove box. Brad Series IV automatic

Hmmm...that can't be stock?! All the Panel switches I've ever seen only turn the lights on or off, never dim & bright. That's a new one. As far as the dim bulbs. I've been told they're just low watta

Another very common cause of dim dash lights is dirty guage glass covers. I was absolutely astonished how much brighter and sharper my guages were after I took off the glass and cleaned them inside.

Also I forgot , when I had mine all apart I reached in with pipe claeners and cleaned out the indicator colored lenses . It helped. my 2p chuck
