I've finally got around to putting a few miles on my 72 B but I can't seem to get the temp and fuel gauges working. Replaced the ballast resistor but no go. Anyone have any quickie suggestions before

When both these gauges are dead, and you know all electrical connections from fuse block onward are good, suspect the line voltage stabiliser. It's the little metal can, about 1.5 x .5 inches in siz

Ballast resistor? There is a ballast resistor (sometimes two) in rubber bumper ignition but not for the gauges on any MGB. Perhaps you mean the voltage stabiliser? This should have 12v on the green w
