- I've finally got around to putting a few miles on my 72 B but I can't seem to get the temp and fuel gauges working. Replaced the ballast resistor but no go. Anyone have any quickie suggestions before

- When both these gauges are dead, and you know all electrical connections from fuse block onward are good, suspect the line voltage stabiliser. It's the little metal can, about 1.5 x .5 inches in siz

- Ballast resistor? There is a ballast resistor (sometimes two) in rubber bumper ignition but not for the gauges on any MGB. Perhaps you mean the voltage stabiliser? This should have 12v on the green w
