That was a good article in Hot Rod on the Goldenrod, but can some of the old-timers make a guess as why they didn't make a return run after the 425 mph run? Are these the originals Hemi's? I thought

This is right, Bob Summers never went into the highest gear - original they used 5 speed Spicer gearboxes (they used two, due to that, that the car was a four wheel drive), but they was modified to a

Alright Mayf, I give you the info I have. Tire was Firestone 6,50 x 16 with around 10,5 bars or 150 psi. Wheels 16 inches The rpm 6600 to 6800, 4 x 600 hp Bore 108 mm or 4 1/4 inches Hub 95 mm or 3 3

Given everyones info; a Ring and Pinion of 1.1 to 1.2 would be close if the 650/16 tire works out to be about 29" which mine do. RPM in the mid 6000's gets this close using "gear calc" and their 3rd

Alright, I found some more information. The Ring and Pinion ratios was "1:1 locked rear ends" The Final drive ratios "may be varied. anticipated 0.95:1 to 1.05:1 Wheels Harvey Aluminum 16 in x 6 1/2

James, this was what I was going to get at. Beat me to it. But in the Hot Rod article the mention that the tires were smaller in diameter than the normal LSR tires because of the car's overall height
