Take the old studs to an autoparts house that has a Dorman draw of studs and match them up with the correct thread RH. The first time some one forgets and hits the shim stock one with a impact wrench

Yeah, I hadn't considered the rotation problem. So the shim plan is out the window. I'll try to find some larger diameter, but same thread studs. If that doesn't work, I do have a spare hub that appe

Stu: Just take the hub off, and a few tack welds with a arc welder should do the trick. It worked for me, and you can grind the weld off if you ever need to replace the studs again.

Surely one of the least expensive options, and one which is pretty safe, is to get another hub from a Series IV or V Alpine. I believe the hubs are identical. John Slade Manotick, ON

No it does not. If your wheel doesn't wobble then you will find that either you can not tighten the lug nut because the stud slips or if the shim holds long enough to allow you to tighten the lug nut
