Hi I know a little about the tires. The Goodyear red bands as well as the Michelin X tires have a 1/2" red line on the side of the tire, much like the white wall tires used in the states during the 5

The Michelin X steel radial tires provided by the Triumph works at Coventry in 1964 did not have any red or white markings on the sides. These tires were an option which could be ordered in 1964. The
