- Not on the early cars, the VIN stamps appear on the later DOT cars. So far I have not run across a VIN stamping on the pre-67 MGB. Anyone???? A while back I was trying to accumulate this information

- Grant, supposedly the early cars have the chassis number (which is what you want) stamped onto the front subframe somewhere around one of the engine mounts. I don't recall if I read this in Clausager
