I had to cut off some of the steering column plastic surround and wire a ground wire - supposedly unnecessary - for the horn to work in my '70. I don't know how well it works on the early cars but I'

Grant also makes a short spacer so the wheel is not so far out from the hub. Don't know the part number, but its in their catalogue. I also recommend redrilling the holes for the turn signal trippers

Should be #4581. I got it at Kragen's, and I believe this is one time they actually list the correct part # in their computer. I had to cut off maybe 1/2" of the steering column cover to avoid rubbin
